Its 7:00 PM IST and Cinemalayalam is now officially open. Thanks to Sri.Mammootty for conducting the inauguration and our heartful thanks to all those who were present at the function.

Cinemalayalam, as a website is complete and is now undergoing rigorous testing. While Girish back home is in the process of co-ordinating and managing offline events, I am polishing the system and planning a big party online. The inauguration is on 15th itself and we do have our fingers crossed!

The website is ninety nine percent done. Everything looks pencil perfect and bright. Girish (let me introduce him first; He is my partner in the Cinemalayalam project, son of the Malayalam movie producer Girish Vaikom) is now swinging between Vaikom and Cochin, running about to make things go smoothly. It is time to print the invitation cards and send them out.

The inauguration is going to be held on 15th September 2006, around 7:00 PM and the venue is hotel Wyteford, Cochin. Mammootty agreed to click-off and inaugurate Cinemalayalam. There are other movie stars going to be present at the venue, with press and media coverage.

Sad that I couldn't go, but again, for the development process and the smooth running of plans, I had to stay here in London.

The work has been progressing rapidly. The website and the backend system is lovely and stable. Infact, its almost complete. We also have collected and put on as much Cinema data as possible. We're waiting for more. Cinemalayalam also has partnered with some sources that will be supplying us with up-to-date Cinema content constantly, and we are also working to build a comprehensive Photo collection.

The overall progress is quite satisfactory.

Cinemalayalam now has a solid blue print. We have also discussed and got approval from some major figures in the Cinema industry. Everybody likes the idea, unique.

The work has started and slowly, the system is starting to take shape. We are making use of the best and the latest technology out there and its a guarantee that Cinemalayalam is going to be a robust and sleek system, the first of its kind in Kerala.

Not often do good ideas popup. But Cinemalayalam, infact is a revolutionary idea when considering that our God's own country is lags behind when it comes to the rapidly growing information superhighway.

So where does Cinemalayalam fit in? Well, it falls in a niche area, the Malaylam cinema industry. Cinemalayalam aims to bring together our cinema industry under one roof and unify and centralize it, Online!

Cinemalayalam tries to give life a totally new standard, porting the traditional system online. Cinemalayalam is an online platform where the Industry can communicate with the young, aspiring talents who dream of making their way to the Cinema industry. In short, Cinemalayalam is an online recruitment system where the Industry seeks and recruits talents in realtime! Besides this, Cinemalayalam is a complete online portal, with a vast amount of pure and fresh Cinema content and not only that, Cinemalayalam is a lot more!

We are currently sketching out the plans for the system and the development will begin soon.
